Week of August 29th:
We have been investigating the story of The Three Little Pigs. On Monday we read and watched the story and identified and defined words in the story that we found difficult or were not sure of. On Tuesday, we created a character, setting, major events chart about the story. On Wednesday, we created a bubble map to describe one character and one setting. On Thursday, we created a flow map to show the sequence of major events in the story. Today, we completed a 5w chart, asking who, what, when, where, and why questions about the story. Next week, we will be investigating Hansel and Gretel! In math, we completed our first unit about understanding how ten ones make a ten. We took our unit 1 assessment today to see what we have learned over the past 3 weeks. Next week, we will be starting unit 2: Using data to add and subtract to 20. Our positive behavior social skill of the week was "completing atask". The book fair was this week and we had so much fun in library with Ms. Lynn!
